Nothing is left to chance. From the organized transfer from São Luís to the return on the seventh day, each step is taken care of by the Charme Atins team. Arriving at the village via the Preguiças River, checking in with free time for the first steps in new territory, alternating between intense adventure and deep rest, dinner by the sea, the flight of scarlet ibises at dusk.
The first day is dedicated to immersion in the Lençóis Maranhenses. In a 4×4 Hilux, you’ll travel along the roads that cross the largest dune field in South America, a Natural World Heritage Site recognized by UNESCO in 2024. The lagoons reveal their peculiar color, between soft turquoise and deep blue. There are stops for swimming, for photographs, for that silence that only exists when the cold water contrasts with the heat of the surrounding dunes.
On the second day, the Great Lençóis open up to those who dare to go further. By quad bike, between panoramic viewpoints that remind the visitor of how vast and magnificent this territory is, the horizon has no rivals. It is the most intense day of the itinerary and, invariably, the one that leaves the most lasting memory.

The fifth day holds one of the most unique spectacles in Brazil: the flight of the scarlet ibises along the Preguiças River. On a boat trip at the end of the afternoon, the red herons return in flocks to their nests while the sky changes color over the water. It’s an experience that needs no adjectives to be described. It simply has to happen.
The sixth day returns to Lençóis Maranhenses with a final 4×4 excursion, like visiting a place that’s already yours one last time. A final dip in the lagoons before saying goodbye, to take with you what words can’t capture.
On the seventh day, the trip concludes with the logistics meticulously planned: the transfer from Atins to Barreirinhas and, from there, to São Luís, organized to ensure a smooth and uneventful farewell. What remains is the certainty of having been in a place that transforms those who visit it.
